To introduce you to us, we are Gary and Joan Yerkie, of Whitehall, MI. We live on 20 acres just 5 minutes from White Lake, and 15 minutes from Lake Michigan. We're also just 10 minutes from Michigan Adventure Amusement Park.
We have had Pugs for over 17 years. We are members of Pug Dog Club of America and are committed to their principals. We got our first Pug in 1990 after five years of begging by our daughter, Brenda. This Pug turned out to be not only our first Pug, but our first conformation champion and first obedience title holder. He was Ch. Toby Tuff Stuff CDX, who can be found in our female line today. We so enjoyed showing Toby that we have been doing shows ever since. They are now shown by our daughter, Brenda Wheeler. We have gone from traveling to shows in a truck camper, pop-up camper, class C motorhome, travel trailer, and the final one (I hope!) a 38 foot class A diesel pusher motorhome. We travel around the Midwest for the shows, and hope to expand our travel after Joan retires. Gary is already retired, so he is home everyday with the Pugs, no "latchkey kids" here!
The Pugs have completely consumed our lives. We live and breathe Pug! If you come visit, you will see Pug pictures, statues, pillows, and every imaginable Pug thing everywhere you look! We have greatly enjoyed making new friends all over the country because of the Pugs.
